How to build self confidence
It’s important to remember that you’re unique. If you’re looking to outside examples of other people to find your self confidence, take a step back.
Carolina uses herself as a good example. She talks about how some people may look at her dancing on an Instagram story and say, “I could never to do that, I guess I can’t be confident”. They already determine confidence can’t be achieved because they are comparing themselves to someone else.
It’s important for you to be empowered to feel confident when you face your OWN fears. Maybe your own version of a confident move is if you tell someone close how you feel.
Not all acts to self confidence have to include dancing or being the life of the party!
You need clarity to find self confidence
You have to be clear about what it is you want. She brings up a good point, you need to choose what you want based off of YOU. There’s only one person that will have to live with the consequences of your decisions everyday. Do you know who that person is?
You may feel a strong urge to base your decisions off of what your parents want, or what your friends are doing. But ultimately, they won’t live through those decisions. You will!
clarity leads to Confidence
When you’re living your life on your own terms and working from your vision, confidence comes naturally.
Carolina reminds us that confidence isn’t a destination, it’s a practice. Remembering this is SO important. It can be easy to think of being confident as the end all be all.
But here’s the thing, there’s pretty much no human out there that’s walking around sure of themselves all day every day. We all deal with insecurities throughout our lives and can feel like we’re failing if we’re confident 24/7.
But since we’re human beings, we’ll always be searching for things like confidence and balance. So, if we’re able to embrace the journey instead of longing for a destination, I think we’ll all be a little happier.
how to find your purpose
If you’re feeling unfulfilled, the key to getting out of that funk is to be truthful with yourself. Carolina shares her story of this that I know a lot of people can relate to.
She shares how she was trying to trick herself into thinking she enjoyed her 9-5 job. She thought if she just took some other things off her plate, she’d feel less burnout.
Because it’s logical for us to try and keep a sound job that’s providing us comfort and security. Even if it’s making us feel empty.
If you’re reading that and nodding your head, then I encourage you to be honest with yourself. If you can feel a feeling deep down of something not being right, then most likely, you’re right about whatever that is. Even if the logical part of you wants to stay.
Take some time to figure out what you do want
I know it can frustrating when you want to find a new purpose but it’s going slowly. If you don’t feel like you’re getting anywhere; know that’s a good sign!
Knowing what you DON’T want to is equally as important as finding out what you DO want. Carolina goes into this in the episode, but basically, take each interview, or setback as a way to learn. Or even just as simple as crossing off another area OFF your list.
Being able to be clear on your vision and find that clarity we talked about earlier is vital to be able to figure out what it is you want.
Don’t be afraid to use your strengths to your advantage. Is there something people keep complimenting you on? Or is there something people seek advice from you about often? These can be really great places to start.
how to attract what you want
If you’ve listened to other episodes, you KNOW I love talking about the Law of Attraction and manifesting your dreams. And Carolina does a GREAT job explaining how to use the Law of Attraction in your favor.
1. You need to be clear on what you want
Have an actual visualization of what you want. Using a vision board is going to be perfect to help you.
You need to be honest about what you want
Sometimes when we start to visualize what we want, we downplay it.
Think about this; have you ever heard the phrase “Hope for the best but plan for the worst”?
Well, if you’re keeping yourself small for fear of not being able to achieve it, then you’ll never exceed those goals.
So, when you’re dreaming, are you judging your dreams because you don’t have enough faith in yourself to achieve them? Or are you allowing yourself to think about what you actually want?
2. figure out What’s keeping you stuck
A limiting belief is something you tell yourself when you don’t have the confidence or you don’t think you’re enough.
Like you’re not “smart enough” or “pretty enough”, etc. Being able to recognize these in yourself is important to be able to attract more of what you want.
Often times, limiting beliefs about ourselves is what’s keeping our goals small.
3. Get over your limiting belief
Now that you know WHAT your limiting beliefs are, it’s time to transform them! Use positive affirmations to change your mindset. Carolina had the limiting belief when she started her coaching business that she was a joke.
Instead of continuing this pattern, she gently corrected herself and said, “I am an inspiration”. Saying this affirmation enough led her to start acting like the coach that inspires people. Now she has people telling her she’s inspiring all the time.
